We returned home this evening from our mountain vacation. We had a great time treating Little J with some "firsts." First pancakes, first hikes, first mountains, first time to see a black bear! It was a great time. I'll post a few pics tonight....
One of the family pics was our first day there. We walked up to Clingman's Dome. It was FREEZING! Poor A was in shorts and a tee...
The other family pic was on our six mile hike. We went to Alum Cave and Bluffs and past.....almost to the top of Mt. Leconte, but the weather and incredibly steep hiking trails paired with five kids didn't lend itself to continuing on, maybe next year. We were quite the specticle. Not too many families on the hike :)
