This was sent to me this morning....let's pray with faith that the Lord will do a miracle today!
9/9/09 - From Mark Wilson
Brad's lungs have improved some, but he doesn't feel like it. He has begun to have a productive cough (won't get too graphic here), but it is wearing him out. Got a little kidney function today! I really, really want to see him come off the ventilator. I think it would do wonders for his optimism. Heading that direction, but not there yet. Also praying that his leukemia has gone into remission even before the chemo starts. Still need your prayers. Now in day 11. UPDATE: Starting one of the chemotherapies this evening. Please pray that he responds well and has no side effects.
- - - - - - I just spoke with Stacy (7:45 p.m. tonight) and she said Bradley had received his chemo. It was 1/2 of the dosage that he will get once he starts feeling better. The oncologist said she didn't anticipate Bradley to have a lot of side affects from this treatment. If any, he may have some pain in his jaw.
Stacy said the swelling is continuing to go down. The Doctor's aren't giving them any indication of when Bradley may be removed from the ventilator, as it is a very slow process.
For the sake of Bradley's comfort and communication with the family, our BIGGEST prayer request today is for his breathing to improve so dramatically that the ventilator can come out.
Mark and Stacy are starting to split their days and nights at the hospital. Last night Stacy was at home with Matthew and tonight Mark will be at home. Mark and Stacy are able to sleep in a recliner in Bradley's room.
We have seen God do so many things in front of our very eyes for Bradley and this family. Let's keep the prayers heading upward......
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
