Daddy leaves for Zambia

I took David to the airport on Tuesday for his big trip to Zambia. This picture was taken as we were dropping off the kids at school. "A" looks like he is in pain, I know....I think we were cramping his middle school style by having everyone pose for the pic.

David will be quite the world traveler during the month of September. He is in Zambia with some new friends of ours from Life International. We are hoping to partner together with them in order to help build a center where Zambian orphans can receive food, medical care, and an education in the northern city of Kitwe. Crossings campers could have the opportunity to sponsor one of 100 orphans that will be in our program. We are praying for God's hand to guide this group as they seek His plan for this region of Zambia.
After David returns from Zambia he will leave a week later for a trip to Guatemala. This trip will be with our pastor and some other businessmen in the city. We are hoping to do the same type of work in Guatemala by having our church partner with Orphan Outreach in the village of Panabaj. Panabaj was hit hard two years ago by a hurricane and mudslides that demolished their village. Children and families live impoverished. Scrounging out of the dump for food is a daily event. Please pray for God's guidance as we seek Him in this journey.
