What should have taken about 27-30 hours to arrive in Addis took us 48!!!! Every single one of our flights was delayed! Even the re-routed ones. We ended up in five countries before arriving in Addis! USA, Germany, Turkey, Sudan (yes Sudan, with UN planes and alot of turban wearing people), then finally to Addis! I was so sick by the time we arrived....mostly due to stress, but then my migraine took a turn for the worse and I was sick to my stomach! What fun!!! When we finally arrived, we briefly slept and then I had a guard walk me down to see my precious boy! This is my first photo!!! What a ham! He saw me and ran and gave me a hug and called me "mama"
